Forum Books was a radical bookshop originally owned by Bookstall Services.
Over time, it evolved to become a specialist bookshop focusing on social work and psychotherapy, and transitioned into an African-Caribbean shop. The bookshop housed approximately 18,000 titles. Its specialist subjects included social work, psychotherapy, and education.
Roy Umney was the primary worker during the bookshop's initial phases. Forum Books also provided bookstalls, conferences, meetings and catering to events.
