Wedge Radical Bookshop was a co-operative located at 13 High Street, Coventry, operating from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:30 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00. Key individuals associated with the bookshop included John Goodman, Marion Doyen, Judith Watt, Ray Mason, Jacqui Stevens, Nigel Pickles, Mike Walford.
Wedge specialised in academic and general literature, feminist works, fiction, and second-hand books, possessing a collection of 11,000 titles.
The bookshop was part of a larger community space that included a meeting room on the top floor and a café on the ground floor, known for serving coffee, sandwiches and baked potatoes with various fillings. The bookshop and café became an important cultural and social hub in the city from its opening in September 1977. It closed in 1996.
