La Biblioteka is an award-winning independent bookshop, kiosk, and cultural space located in Sheffield’s city centre, established in 2016 by Alex Maxwell.
The shop was initiated as an urban project aiming to engage a diverse audience through events and to form a community hub. La Biblioteka features a carefully curated selection of books and magazines spanning literary fiction, essays, politics and current affairs, nature writing, design and art, fashion, sport, and children's books.
The bookshop also provides bookstalls at various events throughout Sheffield and beyond, broadening their reach and impact. La Biblioteka is a vibrant space for literary and cultural activities in Sheffield. They are members of the Alliance of Radical Booksellers.
