IDAF Bookcentre

1984 — 1991
Cannon Collins House, 64 Essex Road, N1 8LR

The IDAF Bookcentre, operated by the International Defence and Aid Fund (IDAF) – an anti-apartheid organisation – was a pivotal resource for anti-apartheid literature. The bookshop specialised in topics related to South Africa and Namibia.

It disseminated information and raised awareness about the struggles against apartheid. Its stock of 150 titles included literature from liberation movements, IDAF publications, and other anti-apartheid materials.

The bookshop closed its doors in June 1991, following a decision to move back to South Africa.
