Calton Books is an independent radical bookshop in Glasgow, Scotland. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday and run entirely by volunteers.
The bookshop was established by Socialist Productions and offers a variety of non-book items such as T-shirts, badges, and posters. Their mission is to promote local working-class history that is often overlooked in traditional education.
Calton Books specialises in left-wing and progressive literature, including a wide range of Anti-Fascist, Spanish Civil War, and Republican Socialist materials. All profits are reinvested into the bookshop to continue providing access to radical literature. Over the past ten years, Calton Books has also published two books to raise awareness of local working-class history and herstory. They are members of the Alliance of Radical Booksellers.
