Concord Bookshop was located at the Mansfield Road end of Woodborough Road. It was known for selling political books and literature on the peace movement. The bookshop was a hub for pacifists and those involved in the peace movement.
Its owner, David Lane, was a committed pacifist and vegan. The shop closed in 1978/9 but continued operating as a vegetarian and green book wholesaler for several years after.
Following the closure of the Concord Bookshop, David Lane transitioned to become a national wholesaler for vegetarian and green books.
