Hope Street Book Centre had an extensive collection of 10,000 titles focused on subjects such as politics, trade unions, sociology, and musical theatre.
The Centre was renamed Paperback Centre in line with the Workers Revolutionary Party's small chain of bookshops in early 1983.
It eventually closed its doors in 1988.
