Prometheus Bookshop

Prometheus Bookshop was set up by John and Libby Denis in 1974 in Moseley in Birmingham. It was an alternative, feminist and therapy bookshop. By 1979 John Dennis was running the shop on his own.
He often did conference bookstalls in the Midlands and as an initial member of the FRB he rarely attended meetings due to working full time in the shop. Financial strains of running a radical bookshop meant that the shop closed in late June 1983.
