The Race Centre organised successful book fairs for two years. The first book fair was held in a church hall and the second one in a tenants hall. They gained significant local publicity, with clowns distributing leaflets in the High Street.
The three-day events were popular due to the continuous activities, advice service stalls, and multicultural events, making them appealing to schools, children, and adults. Nicky, a representative, emphasised the importance of connecting books with enjoyable entertainment to attract a diverse audience.
