Wordgames was primarily a second hand bookshop and toyshop, which subsidised the purchase of new radical books (mainly feminist).
The shop's founder ran the shop alone with some part time help. People connected to the shop were Viv Chandlish, Angela and Sue. On Fridays they ran a market stall in Bangor, the nearest town.
